noticing

recently i got a haircut and it kinda felt like people only noticed if i pointed it out to them - it was rlly weird bc it was a big chop !! but when i went to say hi to my nhs teacher she noticed my haircut ! it was so unexpected because i felt like i was lowk invisible in nhs, but it's nice to see that she sees me.

i heart my nhs teacher she is so sweet!!!

second semester

as my senior year of high school rapidly approaches its ending, i've found myself both wanting time to go faster, as I no longer wish to spend time in this place - yet wanting more time to spend with the people within these walls. it's a feeling i never imagined i would face, especially since i made the decision to move back home after high school. yet, the feeling feels almost neverending, as my only moments of peace seem to be when i'm too busy to think about anything other than what i'm working on. i wish i could have more time with the people i love and leave at the same time.

the super bowl halftime show

the halftime show felt like a celebration of all cultures - and not just my own (puerto rico). i don't quite understand the harm in supporting love over hatred and division among the population, especially in a time where we should appreciate each other for our differences. we exist in a very difficult timeline to endure, as a majority of the population only wants peace among all, even in the face of hatred. the halftime show symbolized the need to retain your true self throughout times in which many want you to conform - to embrace where you came from without discrimination. it surprises me to see people that support what is occuring celebrating the halftime show when they had the ability to prevent the hate that has overtaken our world. but i digress, bad bunny did a wonderful job displaying all parts of all cultures while still appreciating the country he performed in. the only thing more powerful than hate is love, and while that was only shown toward the end of the performance on the stadium's screens - it was the most important message to take home from this performance.
